It all began as they announced our names
No one could explain the feelings, none quite the same
On a night like this
Everything was so perfect
The mood was set just right
We held each other close, as we danced all night

We didn't want the night to end
Who would have thought tonight would be the night I would lose my friend.

We cry and wait, pray to god that everything will be alright
