best resource for quotes and sad poetry.
The walls we build around us to keep out the sadness also keep out
the joy.

#71 My Fixated Life
I've made a mistake I cannot erase
I want to be free but I cannot escape
From the darkness they cause me to see
I dream of a world full of chirping birds
And trouble-free
But all I can hear are the echoes of my screams
What I feel is the cold hard steel
Pressed against the warmth of my skin
I touch my cheeks; they burn with pain
I want to be released from this agony they call life
Still I cannot run
I must embrace
What I see'death
What I hear'silence
What I smell'burning flesh
What I feel'desire
All I can do is close my eyes
And hide away in my dreams
Hoping one day not to wake
And be trapped in a world of perfection
'Until the nightmares dawn
Chasing me forever more
With this fixation they call my life
There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the
other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and
the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
--Carl Jung
I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just
a touch of yearning at times; but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers.

Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the
middle that counts. So, when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance
to float up. And it will.
--Birdee Pruitt (Sandra Bullock) Hope Floats
Sadness flies away on the wings of time.
