best resource for quotes and sad poetry.
The walls we build around us to keep out the sadness also keep out
the joy.

#26 my grandfather
he was the best man that i have ever known
but now that he is gone i have to let him go.
i was the reason he stopped all of his bad ways.
everyone was sad on that dreadful day.
on that day he took his life
he went out without a fight.
he was being selfish and unkind.
on that day he lost his mind.
when he did it he was only thinking of himself.
but i think he needed only help
he should of thought of others instead .
as he sat on that bed.
when he pointed the gun to his head.
when he did it he was just being mean.
he should of been glad no one ever seen.
onthat day i was sad and down.
but after i heard what happened, i sat there wearing a frown.
he took from me instead of giving.
i guess he just gave up on living.
i that night before you went away.
i asked you if i could stay.
you told me to go home to my nice, warm bed.
i never knew the next day you would put a gun to your head.
the day you left me, you left me cold and alone.
sometimes i wished that you would come home.
those days have gone and past.
finally i've gotten over it, finally, at last.
There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the
other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and
the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
--Carl Jung
I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just
a touch of yearning at times; but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers.

Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but it's what's in the
middle that counts. So, when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance
to float up. And it will.
