They say that God only steals pure souls,
They say that your generosity all over pours,
They say that you're dancing with angels,
They say that your heart is blessed in heavens.
I say that you leaving freezes earth,
I say that your soul is not under dirt,
I say that your heart beats within me,
I say that your blood flows within me,
They say that crying only pains your departure,
They say that mourning empeaches your nurture,
They say that praying washes your sins,
They say that leaving to God rejuvenates your skins,
I say that swallowing my tears only saltens my feels,
I say that screaming only softens my strings,
I say that stabbing never heals,
I say that my injury only peels.
There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the
other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and
the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.
