#28 Eagle
Seeing myself
In front of the mirror…
Is my hair that grey
Or the space behind me is dark?
Light flashes of my eyes
Reflects over my shoulders…
If I have wings, I'll fly…
I want, I need, I was meant to fly,
To scroll old dreams,
Trying to find the nutshell of void
Hiding in my heart.
I was meant to fly,
To feel the purified cold in the sky,
Where the winds are free
And clouds keep roaming.
I was meant to fly
Like an eagle, closer to the sun,
Gliding in circles
Over forests and crops,
Huts and souls,
In search of something
Never found.
The grey hair in the mirror
Feels like loads of iron
Over my fallen shoulders.
My dreams of flying
Melted in failure,
Washes past hoppes.
The eagle in me
Still searches the sky
For a place
Closer to the sun.
When a man retires and time is no longer a matter of urgent importance,
his colleagues generally present him with a watch.
R.C. Sherriff
Retired is being twice tired, I've thought
First tired of working, then tired of not.
Richard Armour
O, blest retirement! Friend to life's decline -
How blest is he who crowns, in shades like these,
A youth of labor with an age of ease!

The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
Author Unknown
Retirement is wonderful. It's doing nothing without worrying about
getting caught at it.
