#25 Tantalus
Trapped on this very spot.
A punishment, so raw.
If you saw, what I saw,
you didn't care if you were bound or not.
But this torture is not okay.
I see, a few inches from me.
A fruit, oh it smells so tasty
If I reach for it, it blows away.
It's water, that I feel.
Flowing, right before my lips.
If I want to drink a few drips,
it sinks down below, for real.
I want my eyes to be blind,
so I won't see my needs.
With nothing on my mind,
only feeling the pain of my own deeds.
When a man retires and time is no longer a matter of urgent importance,
his colleagues generally present him with a watch.
R.C. Sherriff
Retired is being twice tired, I've thought
First tired of working, then tired of not.
Richard Armour
O, blest retirement! Friend to life's decline -
How blest is he who crowns, in shades like these,
A youth of labor with an age of ease!

The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
Author Unknown
Retirement is wonderful. It's doing nothing without worrying about
getting caught at it.
