#20 AU REVOIR
The moment arrives for all to move on,
to "Petit Paris," French Restaurant.
Upon Kings Walk, just steps away,
and manage a meal to end the day.
Shown to the region so reserved,
are the total number to be served.
Wine selected, served and tried,
an offer made and not denied.
There upon the table top,
are wine-coolers, flowers, tee-lights lit up.
Jugs of fresh water, glasses also,
all adding more to the evening glow.
Placed to provide and play parts too,
as meals delivered, gathered and grew.
An evening enjoyed all the way through,
as a close to the period steadily drew.
"It's quiet in that corner," are the words said,
as drink takes effect and need of bed.
A strong black coffee is the clue,
to be sure that all is true.
The bill upon a silver tray,
delivered forth, what can one say?
Three-hundred and also forty pounds,
as the collection begins it's rounds.
"You have this and I'll have that,"
are the words within each chat.
The total count does now collect,
cool and calm all is correct.
"Au Revoir my dear good fellows,
it's off to home, bed and pillows.
Drowsy now from food and drinks,
it is high time for forty winks."
Cash replaced by a receipt,
as the party now compete.
Hugs, goodbyes and cheerios,
seperate ways each member goes.
When a man retires and time is no longer a matter of urgent importance,
his colleagues generally present him with a watch.
R.C. Sherriff
Retired is being twice tired, I've thought
First tired of working, then tired of not.
Richard Armour
O, blest retirement! Friend to life's decline -
How blest is he who crowns, in shades like these,
A youth of labor with an age of ease!

The challenge of retirement is how to spend time without spending money.
Author Unknown
Retirement is wonderful. It's doing nothing without worrying about
getting caught at it.
