Sandy Shreve was born in 1950, raised in Sackville, New Brunswick, and lives in Vancouver, B.C. She received her B.A. in Canadian history from the University of New Brunswick in 1973. Currently communications officer for Legal Services Society (LSS), her previous jobs include reporter, library assistant, and secretary. She was departmental assistant for Women’s Studies at Simon Fraser University for more than eight years before joining LSS in 1994. Sandy founded Poetry in Transit, a project that displays B.C. poetry in buses and Skytrain cars across the province. She co-edited, with Kate Braid, the ground-breaking anthology In Fine Form: The Canadian Book of Form Poetry.
