Natalie Wilson

Natalie Wilson Natalie Wilson grew up in Timmins, Ontario, but moved to North Bay, Ontario while in high school. She graduated from Nipissing University in North Bay with a BA (Hons) in English, and from Queen’s University in Kingston with an MA in English, and then returned to North Bay. She has taught Language and Written Communication and Creative Writing at the university and college level. She has published poetry and book reviews, and regularly updates the website for an independent bookstore in North Bay (where she also does research and special orders).

As a member of the editorial collective for White Water Journal, Natalie helps in organizing and publishing two issues of the Journal per year, and also advertises sponsored poetry and short fiction writing contests in its name. Natalie was also recently on the organizing committee for The League of Canadian Poets fundraiser, The 1998 (W)rites of Spring poetry festival. And she is now a permanent fixture at North Bay’s Conspiracy of 3 reading group series, as participant and willing listener, which has been meeting monthly for more than fourteen years.

In January of 1998, Natalie married a truly perfect match--artist, writer, poet, and web designer Kevin Smith. Together, they share a passion for reading, writing and hockey. They live in a slightly chaotic home with a slightly overweight cat.
