#30 Life
A life born in secrecy
Her family did not know
A life born for all to see
His loving family around
Her life was sweet
Small towns keep close
His life was good
Family and friends were near
A life turned sad
Her mother grew sick
A life turned hard
He left what was dear
Soon she was alone
Her lost father found her
He was lost for some time
His life was close to an end
She had no choice but to go
Her father was all she had left
An evil man found him
His life was put on pins
Her life became sad again
Until she found him
Life came in life went out
Life was what he took
The first of him she did notice
His eyes were not the same
Her father made him sad
But she took his sadness away
With her near to him
Life became easier to take
She did not know of his past
Just as he did not know of hers
Soon they were together
No one could take them apart
On top life was good
But secrets were kept
Life went on
Children played all around
Their lives were hard
Secrets were kept from friends
Sons and daughters
All with his eyes
Eyes from blood that mark his family
One one color one another
Secrets were kept from so many
Some even from the children
The oldest son was pitted
His arm did not work correctly
He mastered over people
He could bend them to his will
The oldest daughter had it hardest
Her life was kept in shadows
Her friends were her enemies
Yet they did not know it
The next two were always together
A brother and a sister
Troublemakers that did not get in trouble
Few friends liked to be near them
The oldest daughter had it hard
Her life was dipped in death
Just like her father
Life came in and life went out
Death lived in shadows
Which was where she always hides
Her master was the evil man
Her grandfather but she did not know
Soon he called to her
To take a life so dear
Her parents told her to do as he said
Or else fear his wrath so near
She took the life of one she loved
Her best friend was no more
Despair swept over her
She stood back from all
When her master called
The shadows was there in her
Life was taken so many times again
Father and daughter even worked together
Time flew by
And the youngest child was soon born
He never got to know of life
His was taken all too soon
His and all but his father and oldest sister
Life of this family was all but gone
Swords went through chests
Heads rolled away from its pair
The father and the daughter lived
Lived to fight another day
Their master’s hounds tracked them down
Guns went ablaze
The father was older
The daughter quicker
The father soon dreamed of his life before
His soul would soon rest
The daughter lived on
The fight had just begun
All the secrets were known
She would soon track him down
Her grandfather on an island
He gave her peace and rest
For once she saw eyes like hers
Her blood would live on
She tracked down her old master
She now knew as grandfather
To her surprise her brother lived on
His arm still a wrack
War was not new
But war was what would come
As she fought her family
To end all the pain
What would become of her
We do not
She stopped the killing
Stopped the taking of life
Revenge was brought
Revenge of lost life
Mother, Father, Sister, Brothers, Friends, Family
Life that had been lost
Life lost
But regained
Souls at peace
To one day live again

Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your toes rebel, you
yank it down and shivers meander about your shoulder; but cheerful folks
manage to draw their knees up and pass a very comfortable night. ~Marion
