Is it better for a girl
To be like a wildflower

Appreciated for a short while,
Or to be like a rose

Whose beauty continues to grow?
A wildflower grows up quickly,

A sight for all to see.
Her face shines so brightly

It attracts everyone she sees.
But, sadly comes the day

When they realize she's just a weed
To be thrown out on the roadside

Quickly to be forgotten.
A rose grows up slowly.

She's a beauty even as a bloom.
Slowly she opens her petals

For her beauty all to see.
Her sweet aroma is so appealing,

It turns everyone's head.
Her beauty is so lovely

Everyone falls in love with her.
Girls are like flowers.

They come in different kinds.
Some are like wildflowers;

Others are like a rose.
