My United States Marine
I got two kids they are amazing to see;
He don’t know because he is at sea.
One calls for his daddy;
the other one is to little to know.
Daddy is gone to war;
And will soon be coming home.
I say a prayer for you each night;
For God to show you;
How much we truly love you.
Even though you are a thousand miles away;
Not knowing were you are each and everyday.
Looking up at the stars at night;
Pulls you closer to my heart.
Proud of my man who has the courage to fight;
He keeps it safe for me and his children at night.
For I'm proud to say,
I love him with all my heart;
He is a United States Marine;
With the courage to fight for all of us to sleep better each night.
