#107 At Peace
My name is Jazmine Knight
and I have come to say my peace

I fear what can not be seen
Like why is this world so mean

People are always fussing about how things must change
But the people are too scared to blow out the eternal flame

Of the hate that builds inside
The fear that people have been taught not to hide

They say show your feelings that you hold deep inside
That you feel will someday subside

If you carry on
And try to be strong for the people around you

You know the people that need you
To be strong and to fight for the right to live your life

Life is the most treasured gift they always tell you
When they sell you to the world that will never love you

The sun will always come out in the morning
No matter what happens

I'm afraid
The sun is not fun it is just the way the people stay warm

Fear is the how we climb up in the world
The fear of being a parent or to walk down the street in the morning

When people overcome their fear
When they have the strength to overcome

their worries and tears
That is when they climb the ever so steep hill

And they wait for the next challenge to come
Which is usually only seconds away

Sometimes the challenges knock you down till your footing is found
Then you start all over again

Sometimes peoples' fears get inside their heads
Like a virus that goes deep inside your soul

You walk around waiting for it to subside
Till you can find a cure that will free you and your mind

From the pain that will never subside
The thing that makes you want to run and hide

Till you can find a way to come out of the dark
And be at peace with your own heart.
