Well your 17 now
and it will be your senior year
How time has flown by
the memories are so clear
Auntie and the buggy
for many, many walks
Binky and the blanky
which slowed you when you talked
Kindergarten came
the beginning of eight years
Communion, conformation
8th grade graduation nears
In between the learning
a few sports to pass the time
Basketball, swimming, soccer
Volleyball made you shine
Now your here in High School
all the ups and downs
Soon you'll be looking back
with more stories to pass down
What's the future hold
No one knows for sure
but whatever path you take
I know you will endure

You are educated. Your certification is in your degree. You may think of
it as the ticket to the good life. Let me ask you to think of an
alternative. Think of it as your ticket to change the world.
Your families are extremely proud of you. You can't imagine the sense of relief they are experiencing. This would be a most opportune time to ask for money.
The purpose of a liberal education is to make you philosophical enough to
accept the fact that you will never make much money.
