#97 Losing a friend
I watched you laugh and oh that smile
I always waited for you even if it took awhile
Just knowing you were my friend was the key for me
You confided in everything I wanted to be
I was there for you when your aunt died
the long hours..I was there and oh how you cried...
I thought nothing could be better than this
Little did I know what I would miss
The group they make like wild fire
and who you always would admire
The shadows awaited me and there I stayed
You never once again looked my way
I couldn't believe it that this would be the day
Oh how just then and there I wanted you to pay
I tried inviting you to places
and you said no
I guess I just didn't have the flow
I then realized the hurt
and felt like throwing myself in the dirt
i felt like I was hit by a ton of bricks
and beaten with the painful switch
but you werent there for me
and thats the way it will have to be
