I remember it like it was yesterday
I stood at my window and watched you drive away
I tried to make it to the door I tried to tell u I love u more
But you were to caught up in your work to notice that your daughter needed you
Where were you all those nights I was alone
No one was home
No one would answer the phone
No one would tell me why
What did I do wrong
Why don’t u care
Its so wrong it isn’t fair
My friends had parents that showed up to their games
Im lucky if u remembered my name
But u and I are not the same
My daughter will never experience that pain
That pain that makes u insane
Even threw all the things uve done
Ur not like any other one
Even threw the nights of all the fights an all the cold creeping into my heart
I still love u
