A comedian, no.
African American, no.
Steve's what I call dad,
Steve's what my mom calls Harv.
Daddy's little girl I am not.
Daddy's daughter I am by default.
Blame for awkwardness
Is no issue.
Anger for absense
is understood.
Being socially problematic is one of his greatest hits,
Father like daughter,
Daughter like father.
Conversation does not meet,
And understanding seems to never be met.
But a quiet pride
Resides above my shoulder,
Putting forth a presence
even during absense.
Harv is what you wed
Dad is a human being
Quiet, reserved,
And full of intelligence when interested,
But playing solataire
Cowering in the glowing computer light
Does not stop any fight.
Anger, Pain, Disappointment,
and REMORSE
Steve Harvey is a stranger
Harv is a past personality
Dad is my dad
Obligation to feel
